I think you are spot on with your points. It's just an electric Silverado, but a lot of people want that. They don't want anything crazy. The area where this shines above the R1T and CT is the range. It's absolutely wild that some RUclipsrs have gotten 460 miles on a full charge out of this truck.

The platform was jointly developed and Z4 sales have nothing to do with work conducted almost a decade ago. BMW doesn’t even make the Z4 or Supra. Truth is they have pre-COVID contracts between three parties that simply don’t work with today’s economics and small sales. BMW loves the Z4 which is why they blessed it with the last new manual trans to a BMW for one year only. It’s a love letter to an end of an era, as the Supra was for Toyota. We will all miss them when they are gone, history will be kind to them I suspect.
